We do work on Saturdays. We get a lot of bookings for Saturday's so it is best to book early. With enough notice, we can arrange to clean your Caravan/Motorhome on a Sunday, but if on a campsite, we prefer not to clean on a Sunday.

Do you use a jet/pressure washer? We use a petrol powered pressure washer that is mounted in the van. We DO NOT generally use high pressure jet washing to clean the surfaces of motorhomes/caravans as this can cause water ingress and damage to seals. We use our pressure washer to apply our Autosmart Highfoam power and Aquaseal Pro snow foam (wash and wax/Spray Sealant) at a low pressure to ensure we do not damage any surfaces. We also use our pressure washer to rinse down at low pressure after applying the snow foam (wash and wax). We also use a wide fan jet attachment when rinsing down which spreads the pressure over a wide area. When might we use high pressure jet washing? The only instance we will use high pressure jet washing is when the roof is heavily contaminated in biofilm (such as lichens and black spots). These biofilm can be very difficult to remove, but if we have to, we will ask you for permission and carefully pressure wash the surfaces ensuring we do not get close to any seals or roof vents.

This depends on the length and condition of your motorhome or caravan. Larger motorhomes/caravans take a lot longer to clean. It can take between 3 and 6 hours to clean for one person (or 2-5 hours for two people).

If you do have a outside water tap this will be helpful, however if no water is available (such as on a campsite) we can arrange to fill our on-board water tank which will be sufficient to thoroughly clean your motorhome or caravan. However if you have a large caravan or motorhome and would like the premium service, we may need to top up with water (If at a campsite, we are sometimes charged between £5-£10 to use their water)

We have cleaned many caravans and motorhomes with lichens and black spots on the roof. On most occasions we can remove more than 95% of the biofilm growths using our cleaning products and a lot of hard work . However if the roof has not been cleaned for a long period of time, they can be very difficult if not impossible to remove without chemical applications (Biocides). Biofilm such as lichens can actually bond themselves to the surface and cause permanent damage to the surfaces of the roof. In the event where we cannot remove the lichens/black spots, a chemical application of biocide may be required to remove the remaining growths. Biocides can take between 6 months and a year to fully break down and remove all the biofilm and if heavily infested, a second application may be required. We use GK Pro biocide on caravan/motorhome roofs. It has to be applied after the roof has been cleaned and there must be no rain forecast for at least 12 hours to allow the product to dry. The biocide has a surfactant (like washing up liquid) which helps bond to the surfaces, however can leave a soapy residue on the windows (which will disappear after a few weeks of rain or after being cleaned after a week of application). Biocides are harmful to aquatic life and animals/people and would ideally need to be applied by trained professionals. We are City and Guilds Assured Professional Softwash Technicians and have had all the relevant training in applying these biocide. With the weather being very unpredictable down here in Devon, it is very difficult to tell if the weather conditions are going to be poor, even with the weather forecasts being unreliable. We can clean caravans/motorhomes in a range of weather conditions including when it is raining. The only time when the weather may stop us from cleaning is if it becomes dangerous which we will assess on the day. Also if you have opted for our premium service using Aqauseal Pro. We can only apply this if it is dry or light rain. Even if it is raining heavily, we normally find a 10 minute period of dry or light rain to apply Aquaseal Pro, even if we have to wait 30 minutes. Out of over 150 caravans/motorhomes we clean each year, there is normally only a few we have had to cancel due to the weather (sub-zero temperatures, campsite being flooded/boggy ground or a heavy storm).
