How does it effect our Business?
The ban applies to household customers.
BUSINESSES ARE EXEMPT where hosepipe use is ESSENTIAL FOR BUSINESS and as a exterior cleaning company, water is essential for our work.
Even though we are exempt from the hosepipe ban, we all have a responsibility to try to reduce our water consumption.
Even though we have to use large quantities of water in our business, there are ways we can reduce the amount of water we use.
Window Cleaning:
We can reduce the amount of water we use when cleaning windows by turning down the flow rate of water coming from our pumps. It will take a little bit longer to clean but will still have a great effect in reducing our water consumption.
Motorhome/Caravan Cleaning:
We can reduce our water consumption by turning down the flow rate of our water (especially when cleaning the roofs).
Patio/Driveway Cleaning (Pressure Washing):
Cleaning of patios and driveways always use a large amount of water. We can reduce the amount of water we use by using HSE approved Biocides to assist in the cleaning process, saving water in the process.
