Today we were off to Preston, Paignton to a lovely house. Complete clean of all patios, walkways and driveway. Also cleaned out the gutters and some facias.
We pressure washed a total of 220 square meters all around the property and removed most of the grime and dirt. However the Biofilm (such as Lichens and Black Spot) were deeply engraved in the surfaces and unable to be remove from pressure washing alone.
We applied GK Pro Biocide softwash to all surfaces to help remove all the micro organisms. The Biocide will continue to work for up to 6 months to remove all the lichens (some of which were over 10cm wide) and black spots.
We also applied the biocide to some of the walls and fence panels (the biocide will remove the green algae staining from wooden fence and also acts as a wood preservative).
We will return in the near future to see the results, and if necessary carry out a second application of biocide to make this property look at its best.
We also cleaned out the gutters and cleaned the side entrance conservatory/windows.
It took both of us 8 hours each to complete but were happy with the results.

What is Soft Washing?
Over time, exterior surfaces gradually build up a layer of biofilm, which can be a combination of algae, moss, lichen and various other micro-organisms which make surfaces look unappealing, stained and dirty. Soft Washing is a effective cleaning method using low pressure spray and specialised solutions to safely remove mildew, bacteria, algae and other organic stains from exterior surfaces. The Biocide is applied using a sprayer to all external surfaces and effectively remove biofilm.
